Indian Workers Resource Center (IWRC) is a welfare initiative of Government of India to provide support to Indian Expatriates in need. IWRC, Dubai started functioning from 23.11.2010 and a new IWRC in Sharjah commenced its operations from 15.08.2017.

The competent authority has decided to rename IWRC in Dubai and Sharjah as ‘Pravasi Bharatiya Sahayata Kendra (PBSK) with immediate effect. Hence, the IWRC Centres in Dubai and Sharjah will hereafter be referred to as Pravasi Bharatiya Sahayata Kendra, Dubai (PBSK- DB) and Pravasi Bharatiya Sahayata Kendra, Sharjah (PBSK-SJ) respectively.

Members of the Indian Community can call these centers from anywhere in the UAE through a toll free number 80046342. The areas covered by the PBSK are related to all issues concerning overseas Indian Community in UAE. The service is completely free of charge for all Indians in UAE. The core activities of PBSK are mentioned below:

1. Manage a 24x7 Toll Free HELP LINE (toll free line, 80046342).
2. Receive, register and monitor grievance petitions and   provide clarification to information seeking queries.
3. Provide  Legal, Financial and Personal Counselling  by experts in respective fields
4. Conduct Awareness Campaigns in various Emirates across UAE
5. Provide assistance to Indian Embassy and Indian Consulate in different activities as and when required.
6. Liaison with help-groups, individual social workers and related bodies to offer assistance to Indian Community Members.
7. To verify the genuineness of job offers from respective company or UAE local authorities and reply by email to the concerned person.

PBSK helpline will also act as a 24x7 helpline for UAE Amnesty 2018 for assisting Indian community in UAE with issues regarding the Amnesty. The Indian Community in UAE is requested to avail Amnesty scheme announced by the UAE Government for the period 01.08.2018 to 31.10.2018 by regularizing their visa status or exiting the country.
